About

STTAS, a UPS TMS Company, pioneered the field of Global Trade Compliance Management in the early 1990s when one of the world’s largest multinational corporations engaged our Detroit-based trade experts to provide comprehensive Business Process Support  for its import operations.

Over the last 25 years, STTAS has expanded into a global compliance powerhouse. Today, our  950 international trade professionals stationed throughout Asia, Europe, the Middle East, North America and South America provide GTCM, worldwide consulting and managed services, and global compliance reviews and training to companies of all sizes engaged in the movement of goods from one country to another, regardless of country of manufacture or port of entry or exit.

STTAS’ unmatched success in the global trade arena is due in large part to two distinctive qualities. First, global trade is our core competency. Rather than forming a department or division of a company whose primary business is other than global trade, STTAS trade professionals focus exclusively on matters concerning the movement of goods from one country to another.

Second, STTAS is able to attract the best talent in the global trade arena, boasting among our staff former customs and revenue department officials from almost every region of the world, as well as seasoned trade professionals from the major industries we serve.

We are pleased to announce Sandler Travis Trade Advisory Services, Inc. (“STTAS””) has been acquired by United Parcel Service (UPS) effective November 30, 2017.  STTAS will be part of UPS Trade Management Services (TMS). STTAS will continue to provide its same services, from the same offices with the same personnel and will operate under the name “STTAS, a UPS TMS Company.”

This change is good news for STTAS and our clients, as UPS brings an even broader global presence, operating in more than 220 countries and territories worldwide, with a matchless set of transportation, logistics and supply chain services. By combining STTAS with the existing UPS TMS services, we can provide customers with an even more powerful set of services designed to maximize their trade investments and minimize complexity, time and cost throughout their international supply chain operations.
