Sandy Dersa Named STTAS Vice President of Human Resources

Detroit, MI — June 11, 2013 Sandler & Travis Trade Advisory Services is pleased to announce the promotion of Sandy Dersa to the position of vice president of human resources. Effective June 1, Dersa will oversee all human resource efforts for STTAS, a leading international trade and managed services consulting firm.

“STTAS has grown to a staff of over 600 in seven countries and three continents, and it has been an extremely complicated task to manage that exponential growth and address the resulting resource requirements,” said STTAS Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Alfred D’Amico. “Sandy and her team have significantly met that challenge and more.”

Dersa has over 25 years of human resource experience and has played a key role in the growth and success of STTAS. Her success can be traced to both her excellent human resource management skills and her international trade knowledge and experience.  She obtained her customs brokers license in 1994, has worked as a customs analyst and has served in STTAS’ duty drawback practice area. She is also a skilled HR professional handling employee matters with professionalism and respect.

“Sandy’s skills and abilities will help lead us through our continued dynamic growth in the U.S. and abroad,” D’Amico added.  “She is the consummate human resource professional and well deserving of this promotion.”

Dersa has also made it a point to involve STTAS in charitable activities, such as working with local food banks, who have praised STTAS and its employees for their consistent generosity. In addition, she works internally to assist in community fundraisers.
